Tell me why people want this mayor to stick around again? He's done such a bang up job thus far!

Worship Video
I think this is a great reminder of the importance of authentic worship and the ability to focus on the true meaning of what worship is. Great worship is not a great band, or singer, or song, it is reverence, recognition, thankfullness, praise, and humility. It is not about the feeling that we walk away with, it is about the feeling that we want to express towards God because of what He's done.
This video is a great reminder of that. It was played at our church before the music portion of the service and it was a great perspective tool to help me focus.

Pretty cool
This is a pretty cool video sent to me by my mom. She made a good point in saying it's interesting that this Lion reacts like this to the person that rescued it. You have to wonder what these animals remember and it makes animal cruelty that more inexcusable.

Do you want to RAGE?
If the answer is yes, then here you go...
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,334709,00.html
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,334790,00.html
2 links, 2 stories that really want to make you take action.
We'll all probably sit idle and do nothing, but in the end, this really just flat out pisses you off.
Very rarely am I ashamed to be associated to any of our armed forces, but this is one situation that makes me ashamed.
And, the gang banging thugs in this country absolutely floor me. I can see the point of some of the people in American that say, why are we fighting in Iraq and ignoring our homeland. The story about the LA teen makes me think the same way. Just bring our military into these areas that have gangs and flush them out once and for all.

The Response's scare me.
http://blog.mlive.com/grpress/2008/02/hudsonville_asked_to_remove_go.html
Why is it that people feel so 'outed' by Christians? Have they really been chastised by 'conservative Christians'? I would be willing to bet not. 3 of the first 4 responses are praising this person for bringing this up. Do you realize that we will have to tear down multiple national monuments if we want to fully separate church and state?
As our country is turning to violence in schools, drugs and alcohol being praised by young Hollywood actor's and actresses, drug use from athletes, war with a radical religion, and many other problems, we have citizens who are more concerned with shunning God and removing God from our society. To me, this is a problem, and it may be the beginning of the fall of a great nation. It's happened many times before.

Romney's brilliant move...
In a move that takes second place only to my "shaving of the head" play, Romney pulled a fast one on Huckabee. As I have told many people, my philosophy on shaving my head was like dating a girl and knowing she was going to dump you, so you just dump her first.
Think about it, Romney is upset that Huckabee stayed in the race and made it a 2 man game, essentially eliminating any sort of formidable rise to beat McCain because most view the GOP divided into two parts, the Moderate right with McCain, and the Conservative right with HuckaRomney. They were duking it out for 2nd while McCain was on his victory tour. Many thought that Huckabee stayed in the game because he already had a deal with McCain in place to become his VP, which would make sense because they get along and it would go a long way to help McCain get the Conservative right out to vote in an election they may not otherwise get excited about...So...Romney makes a move, and in an act that the people are calling Noble, Selfless, and "for the good of the party," he bows out because he wants McCain to gather some very important momentum with the Republican party and bring the party together in a united attempt to defeat whatever the Dem's throw at them...and in the meantime, makes Huckabee look an idiot. Huckabee COULD NOT drop out behind him because he would have made the "VP conspiracy" critics look correct. He HAD to stay in, and in the meantime, he looks VERY selfish because as Romney is promoting the party, Huckabee is continuing the division. He looks like the high school basketball coach who is fouling in the last minute, even though his team is down by 20 points. Huckabee was in a "Darned if you do, darned if you don't" scenario, because Romney pulled a fast one and bowed out in front of him. There is no way he saw that coming and it really put him in a bind.
Don't get me wrong, I prefer Huckleberry to McCain, but I just think the move by Romney was brilliant and will go a long way with the party to help in a run in 2012 if we lose this one, heaven forbid.
